trumpet ITG

The International Trumpet Guild is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 to promote communications among trumpet  players around the world and to improve the artistic level of performance,  teaching, and literature associated with the trumpet.
ITG's more than 5,000 members represent 56 countries and include professional and amateur performers, teachers, students, manufacturers, publishers, and others interested in belonging to an organization dedicated to the trumpet profession. ITG is supported by the dues of individual members.

Welcome!  It is my pleasure, on behalf of the ITG Board of Directors, to welcome you to the International Trumpet Guild website.
The ITG is an organization made up of trumpet enthusiasts in every genre and at every level of proficiency.  Our mission is to promote communication among trumpeters and improve the artistic level of every aspect of the instrument, including, but not limited to, performance, teaching, literature, research, and instrument design.
We publish the only journal dedicated solely to the trumpet, co-sponsor and administer both an international solo trumpet competition and an international jazz trumpet competition, sponsor an annual trumpet conference, hold annual competitions for players from junior high through college, commission new trumpet music, and provide many other services from maintaining a news column to offering free CDs and music downloads to our members.
Though the site you are viewing has a lot of great information, by joining ITG and entering the “ITG Member Site”, you will find an incredible wealth of articles, downloadable music, Smartmusic files, miscellaneous items of many kinds, and, of course, a downloadable collection of the ITG Journal, including the latest issue.
We hope you will visit us often, and offer our very best wishes,
Kim Dunnick, President

The Trumpet is a great instrument whether jazz trumpet or solo trumpet,  but requires a very strong embouchure. What kind of trumpet notes require this type of strong embouchure? High C, Double C, and Triple C all would require a strong embouchure to play these high trumpet notes.  A trumpeter must take trumpet lessons to increase skill level. Trumpeters like Maynard Ferguson playing the trumpet solo, Give It One, and Bill Chase playing the trumpet solo, Get It On, had a very strong trumpet embouchure. Trumpets are made out of brass and make a beautiful sound when used in trumpet songs. James Last Orchestra also featured many fine trumpet players. The above site has trumpet tips, trumpet websites, sites, and trumpet lessons.
